Hi, I would like to make your game accessible for french high schoolers. It’s a super alibi for kids to make statements about their musical landscape and have fun improvising. That implies translating it, but also changing the improvisation keyword from Outrageous to … something else, like Vain, Rebellious, Sold Out or anything really but sh*tstorm material for parents and censors.

What’s you opinion about such a hack ? Should I just make my thing on my side without using nor referencing your game? You tell me where you’re at.

Oh, and by the way, I played it with teens in the winter of 2018. I remember because that was just a few months before Ramstein last nazichic video clip. We had an anime band making statements about animal rights, religion, consent and fascism. This concert when we had random persons in the audience grabbed and headshaved. Fond memories… the fans loved it.

Hi DaReel :D

You are free to use/modify the game as you like and I'd be honored if you did. The Creative commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) licence (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) only requires that the game is attributed and shared at the same conditions as the original (basically not sold and available for further modifications by others).

If you could be so kind to share your adaptation with me I would love to add it to this page, with proper credit, for anybody that might be interested (or, if you prefer to create a new page, I would like to link to it).

Here's my Google Drive document, you could make a copy of it as a base: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1WXBqlsanYSnlqxxa9I_xYqhlZy35PsCZnxS6S2__...

Also, thank you so much for sharing with me your previous experience with the game, it makes me incredibly happy!

Thank you ! Given the conditions you state, here’s what I’ll do : I’ll hack the game with a different Improv seed, probably a different picture, publish it on itch with attribution etc. and remember not to sell it (I usually put a price tag on games just as a reminder a fun job is still a job).

If it makes you happy, I’ll double down on it : “Thank you for your games !” Anybody can make games, but you did, and do well!

And here it is : Abusé ! my own take on your controversial pop stars game. https://dereel.itch.io/abus
